IDF Soldiers Kill Palestinian Attacker Near Nablus

Mignews
Translated & summarized from Mignews by baba
The story · English

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that soldiers shot and killed a Palestinian man identified as Abd al-Karim Muhammad Salem Khader during an overnight operation in the town of Akraba, south of Nablus in the West Bank. The IDF stated that Khader was a wanted terrorist associated with a terrorist organization. When soldiers attempted to question him at a building where he was located, he allegedly threw a Molotov cocktail and an improvised explosive device at them. No soldiers were injured.

Following the initial confrontation, soldiers surrounded the building and employed a tactic described as "pressure cooker" by increasing their fire to compel the suspect to exit. A bulldozer was also used to demolish part of the structure. Upon entering the building, soldiers from the Nahal Brigade's reconnaissance unit reportedly opened fire on Khader after spotting a knife in his possession, which the IDF claims he intended to use to attack them.

The Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that Israeli forces seized Khader's body. The operation also involved the detention of three other terror suspects and the questioning of approximately 60 wanted individuals in other areas of the West Bank overnight.
