Pedestrian Killed in Vehicle Collision in Western Galilee
A pedestrian, approximately 40 years old, was killed early Tuesday morning when he was struck by a vehicle on Highway 85, near the town of Jadeidi-Makr in the Western Galilee. The Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency service reported receiving a call at 5:21 AM about a pedestrian hit by a car.
Paramedics and EMTs who arrived at the scene found the man with severe, multi-system injuries and no signs of life. They pronounced him dead at the scene.
"When we arrived at the scene, the man was lying on the road, unconscious, without a pulse and without breathing, after being hit by a vehicle," said MDA paramedic Oral Harpoof and senior EMT Shimon Dahan. "We performed medical examinations, but his injuries were very significant, and we had no choice but to determine his death at the scene."
