Henti Accuses Opponent of Racist Chants Near Referee
Hapoel Rishon LeZion player Ezekiel Henti has accused Bnei Yehuda player Matan Levi of making monkey chants during their scoreless draw in the National League on Monday. Henti stated on Instagram that Levi directed the racist slurs towards him, and that the incident occurred very close to the referee. According to Henti, the referee denied any knowledge of the chants.
Henti expressed his disappointment that such behavior is tolerated without punishment, especially in light of ongoing efforts to combat racism in football. He emphasized that while he can handle insults from opposing fans, racist chants from a fellow player are unacceptable.
