Former Follow-up Committee Chairman, Muhammad Barakeh, urged Farah during the meeting to suspend his candidacy, stating, "We ask comrade Jaafar Farah to suspend his candidacy for this parliamentary term, and for us to emerge united." Barakeh emphasized that the goal was to preserve the Front's unity and prevent internal disputes from impacting the upcoming electoral campaign.

Farah, in response, stated he was not clinging to his position for personal gain and would abide by any decision made by the Front's council and institutions. He acknowledged the party was in a "sensitive and fateful stage" and suggested the proposal could offer a way for all to maintain their dignity and continue the electoral effort together. "I will accept any decision made, as I have said before and repeat today," Farah affirmed.
