Tensions Flare at Turner Stadium as Police Detain Three Fans Before Key Match

Israeli police detained three individuals suspected of involvement in violence and public order disturbances near the Toto Turner Stadium hours before a high-stakes soccer match between Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Maccabi Tel Aviv. The arrests were made by officers from the Be'er Sheva station and the Yoav unit as part of intensified security measures around the stadium for the Israeli Premier League game.

The detained individuals include two adults and one minor. One adult was apprehended for disorderly conduct in a public place, while the second adult is suspected of attempting to assault a police officer and obstructing an officer in the line of duty. The minor was detained for interfering with security forces.

Following their interrogation, all three were issued immediate sanctions, banning them from all Israeli soccer stadiums for 30 days. Police emphasized their commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against violence to maintain public order during the important match, which is part of the league's third round.
