Maccabi Tel Aviv Taps Noam Ben Harush to Replace Departing Star Roy Revivo

Maccabi Tel Aviv is set to face Hapoel Be'er Sheva with a significant void in their lineup following the departure of left-back Roy Revivo to Elche. Revivo, credited with two league titles and a cup in three years, was instrumental in Maccabi's attack, contributing 13 assists last season and seven the year before. He is widely considered one of the greatest attacking left-backs in Israeli football history.

To fill this gap, Maccabi has acquired English right-back James Tavernier, who previously played a similar role for Rangers. Tavernier is expected to be given similar attacking freedom to Revivo, possessing greater speed and a more direct goal-scoring threat. While he boasts impressive offensive statistics, his immediate impact is uncertain given the team's remaining schedule before the international break.

Midfielder Gabi Kanyukovsky, returning for his second stint with the club, is also expected to bolster the attack. Ben Harush's playing style is more defensively oriented than Revivo's, focusing on defensive actions and ball recovery.
