Likud Youth Chairwoman Writes Song to Urge Right-Wing Unity

Hadar Muchtar, the newly appointed chairwoman of the Likud youth wing, appeared on the "Meet the Press" program last Saturday. During the interview, she addressed Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Am Israel" party, who had just submitted his party's list for the upcoming Knesset elections. Muchtar urged Winter to unite with other right-wing parties to prevent wasting votes.

Muchtar chose an unconventional method to convey her message, revealing, "I wrote him a song." The lyrics implored Winter to "wake up" and "connect," noting that while other right-wing factions like those led by Moshe Feiglin and Bezalel Smotrich had united, Winter seemed "tired" and unwilling to join. She urged him to "lower your chin, release your ego, because it's time to connect."

Despite Muchtar's plea, Winter had already submitted his party's list to the Central Elections Committee, effectively canceling the possibility of immediate unification. His list includes prominent figures such as advocacy activist Yosef Haddad in second place, former presenter Netali Shem Tov in third, and Eran Ben-Ari following. Winter stated that his party, launched only two weeks prior, represents a "new spirit" for the entire population, advocating "true right-wing policy and military decision-making in all sectors," alongside integrating Haredim into the IDF and supporting soldiers without compromise.

Winter expressed confidence that his party would be the "surprise of the elections." However, most polls indicate that Winter's party will not pass the electoral threshold.
