Kosovo Signs Deal to Deploy Peacekeepers to Gaza
Kosovo has officially signed an agreement to send peacekeepers to the Gaza Strip as part of a mission to implement a U.S. peace plan. The agreement was signed in Pristina by representatives of Kosovo, the Peace Council, and the International Stabilization Force. This formalizes a decision previously approved by Kosovo's parliament in April to deploy military personnel to the new peacekeeping contingent. The initiative is supported by five nations, including Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, and Albania. Egypt and Jordan will provide training for police personnel within the contingent. The exact timeline for deployment has not yet been announced. The mission aims to support President Donald Trump's peace plan for Gaza.
