Rami Levy Launches New Credit Card for Travel Bookings

Retailer Rami Levy has entered the credit card market with the launch of the SuperFly Mastercard, a collaboration with Israir and Isracard. The new card focuses on a direct dollar accumulation system for flights and vacation packages with Israir, bypassing complex point systems and conversion rates. The accumulated dollar value remains constant regardless of season or destination, simplifying budgeting for customers.

The card offers two accumulation tracks. The Classic track earns one dollar for every 500 shekels spent, with a 2% foreign currency fee and an additional 15% accumulation on foreign purchases. The Premium track earns one dollar for every 333 shekels spent, with a 1.5% foreign currency fee and a 25% accumulation bonus on foreign purchases. Both tiers allow accumulation on institutional payments and utility bills, up to monthly spending caps of 30,000 shekels for Classic and 45,000 shekels for Premium.

Moti Levy, VP of Club and Financial Products at Rami Levy, stated the goal was to create a clear and accessible accumulation mechanism. "You don't need to be an aviation doctor to understand what you're entitled to and how much it's worth," he said. The accumulated dollar amount is directly deducted from the price of an Israir flight or package, with no minimum redemption threshold. Taxes on flights must be paid in cash, and package redemptions have a certain limit.

As a launch promotion, the first 10,000 customers who spend 10,000 shekels by the end of November will receive a complimentary flight ticket to various Israir destinations in Europe, excluding London.
