Israel Braces for Heatwave With Rising Temperatures and Extreme Heat Load

Israel is set to experience a significant rise in temperatures starting Monday, with forecasts indicating a heatwave that will persist through Tuesday. Monday will begin partly cloudy before clearing, with temperatures climbing slightly, particularly in mountainous and inland areas, exceeding seasonal averages. Extreme heat load is expected in the southern Golan Heights, northern valleys, Lower Galilee, Kinneret Basin, Dead Sea coast, Jordan Valley, and the Arava. Heavy heat load conditions are predicted for the Western Galilee, Carmel, Menashe Hills, coastal plain, Shefela, central mountains, Negev, and Judean Desert. Overnight, skies will be partly cloudy to clear.

Tuesday will see a further increase in temperatures, especially in the mountains and inland regions, remaining hotter than usual for the season and intensifying the heat load. A slight decrease in temperatures is anticipated on Wednesday, bringing some relief.

By Thursday, the weather will transition to partly cloudy in the morning, becoming fair later. Temperatures are expected to continue dropping, particularly in the mountains and inland, returning to seasonal norms across most of the country, with a noticeable easing of the heat.
