Israel Meteorological Service Issues Heat Warnings Nationwide
The Israel Meteorological Service has issued a series of heat warnings across the country, effective from morning to evening on Monday. The alerts range from yellow to red, indicating varying levels of heat stress expected in different regions.
A yellow heat warning is in effect for the Eastern Upper Galilee, Western Lower Galilee, Jezreel Valley, Carmel, Northern, Central, and Southern Coastal Plains, the Shefela region, Northern Samaria, the Judean Desert's eastern edge, and the northern, eastern, and southern Negev. This warning is valid from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Another yellow warning covers the Central Mountains, Southern Samaria, and the Eilat Mountains from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Orange heat warnings are issued for the southern Judean Desert and the Dead Sea area from 10:00 AM Monday until 6:00 AM Tuesday. Additional orange warnings are in place for the southern Golan Heights, Eastern Lower Galilee, Hula Valley, and northeastern Samaria between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM. A further orange alert applies to the northern Judean Desert, the Dead Sea region, and the Arava Valley from 11:00 AM Monday until 1:00 AM Tuesday.
The highest level, a red warning, is designated for the Beit She'an Valley, Kinneret Basin, and Jordan Valley, expected between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM on Monday.
