Hapoel Acre Owner Offers to Sell Club for NIS 700,000 Amid Crisis

Hapoel Acre suffered a crushing 5-0 defeat against Kiryat Yam on Sunday, marking a dismal start to the season with a 12-0 goal difference after four matches. Following the loss, team owner Tzachi Nakash spoke extensively about the club's dire situation.

Nakash stated that the ongoing crisis with the municipality is significantly impacting the team. He expressed his commitment to improving Hapoel Acre and invited anyone willing to do a better job to take over, suggesting they could "take a few shekels and we'll close the deal." He clarified that he is not selling anything else and that whoever wishes to take over is welcome.

Nakash then specified the amount required to assume control: NIS 700,000, to cover past debts he has already settled. He invited potential buyers to take over immediately, enjoy the Rosh Hashanah holiday with the team, and receive gifts he purchased for the players. Nakash described the team as not bad, despite the current turmoil, and noted that six new players were brought in to make a difference, but the situation has become "unthinkable."

He lamented the constant criticism and lack of peace since the season's outset, even during the Toto Cup. Nakash also addressed the municipality's alleged desire for associates to manage the club, stating they could do so with their own funds, not his. He claimed to have invested over NIS 7 million since his arrival, which he feels was wasted, and asserted that all debts are settled, including pensions for former employees.

Nakash concluded by stating his willingness to leave for a nominal sum, emphasizing that he has provided the requested amount and paid all outstanding obligations. He reiterated his desire to step down if others are willing to take over the club's management.
