Hapoel Acre Owner Offers Club for NIS 700,000 Amid Financial Crisis

Hapoel Acre owner Tzachi Nakash has put the struggling football club up for sale for 700,000 shekels (approximately $190,000 USD), citing a severe financial crisis and a lack of support from the municipality. Nakash announced his intention to sell the team during an interview following their devastating 5-0 loss to Kiryat Yam on Sunday, which leaves Hapoel Acre with a 12-0 goal difference after four league matches.

Nakash stated that he has invested over 7 million shekels (approximately $1.9 million USD) in the club since taking over, but feels his efforts have been wasted. He expressed frustration with the ongoing dispute with the Acre municipality, suggesting that local officials preferred associates to manage the club. "If they want to do better than me, they can come," Nakash said, adding that he is willing to hand over the reins for a nominal sum.

He detailed that all previous debts, including pensions, have been settled, and the club is financially clear aside from the 700,000 shekel asking price. Nakash also mentioned that he had purchased New Year's gifts for the players, which the potential buyer would receive. He lamented the constant criticism and lack of peace the team has faced since the beginning of the season, even during the Toto Cup matches.

"I'm not a person who comes to fight. What's happening here is unbelievable. I'm ready to leave for a shekel and a half. What do you want? I gave the amount. There are no debts, everything is settled," Nakash concluded, emphasizing his desire to exit the club.
