Israelis Falsely Report Kidnapping After Entering Palestinian Village

Police and IDF forces were scrambled early Sunday morning after a 15-year-old Israeli boy called emergency services claiming he and his friends were kidnapped and taken to a Palestinian village. The report turned out to be false, as the three individuals, two minors aged 15 and one adult aged 40, all from Jerusalem, had entered the Palestinian village of Hizma voluntarily to spend time there.

Following the false report, a significant security response was initiated, involving police from the Judea and Samaria district and the Israel Defense Forces. Advanced technological and operational capabilities were employed to locate the individuals. They were found unharmed by security forces near the village.

The three were taken in for questioning by the police. Investigations revealed they entered the village of their own accord and later developed fears, prompting them to report a fabricated kidnapping. They are being investigated for providing false information, a felony, and for violating legal orders prohibiting entry into Palestinian villages.

After their interrogation, the three were brought before a judge and released under restrictive conditions. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
