Israeli Police Respond to False Kidnapping Report from Palestinian Village

Early this morning, police received an urgent call from an Israeli minor reporting that he and two others had been kidnapped and taken to the Palestinian village of Hizme. Jerusalem district police operators quickly understood the gravity of the situation and dispatched numerous police forces, IDF troops, and other security personnel to the area. These forces acted decisively to locate the individuals.

Within a short time, police successfully found the three unharmed near the village. The group consisted of two minors, around 15 years old, and one adult, approximately 40 years old, all residents of Jerusalem. They were taken to a police station for questioning.

An investigation revealed that the three had voluntarily entered the Palestinian village with the intention of spending time there. Subsequently, fearing the consequences of their actions, they contacted the police to report a kidnapping.

The three were questioned for offenses including filing a false report of a crime and violating legal orders prohibiting entry into Palestinian villages. Following their interrogation, they appeared in court and were released under restrictive conditions. The investigation is ongoing.
