Israeli Police Rescue Kidnapped Man in Yavne, Arrest Five Suspects

Two weeks prior, police in Petah Tikva arrested a man suspected of attempting to kidnap an 11-year-old girl on the street. The suspect reportedly lifted the girl while she was on a phone call with her father. Police arrived shortly after and detained him on suspicion of assault and attempted kidnapping. Due to concerns about his mental state, he was sent for psychiatric evaluation. While the recent cases in Rehovot and Petah Tikva involved minors in public spaces, the Yavne kidnapping appears to have a criminal background and involved adult suspects.
