Otzma Yehudit MK Tzviקה Fogel Announces Departure From Party

Member of Knesset Tzviקה Fogel announced Sunday that he will not run for the 26th Knesset on behalf of the Otzma Yehudit party, marking the end of his tenure with the party. Fogel, who currently chairs the Knesset's National Security Committee, stated that the possibility of continuing his work in the Knesset or the future government is not unfolding as he had planned.

Fogel expressed gratitude for his time representing Israel in the Knesset and as chair of the National Security Committee, and for being part of Otzma Yehudit. He emphasized his dedication to Israel's security, particularly in the aftermath of a "terrible disaster," and stated his intention to continue public service beyond his current political chapter, saying, "I am ending a chapter, but the mission continues."

Otzma Yehudit chairman and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir bid farewell to Fogel, thanking him for his "dedicated, determined, and uncompromising" work for the country, its people, and the party. Ben-Gvir highlighted Fogel's contributions as chairman of the National Security Committee, his legislative efforts, and his role in strengthening "readiness squads" and security bodies. He described Fogel as "a man of values, a true fighter, and a great patriot" and wished him success in his future endeavors.
