MK Zvika Fogel Will Not Run in Upcoming Elections for Otzma Yehudit

Member of Knesset Zvika Fogel has announced he will not be running in the upcoming Knesset elections on behalf of the Otzma Yehudit party. National Security Minister and party chairman Itamar Ben-Gvir thanked Fogel for his service, calling him "a man of values, a true fighter, and a great patriot."

Ben-Gvir issued a farewell statement on Sunday, expressing gratitude for Fogel's "dedicated, determined, and uncompromising work over the years for the security of the state, the people of Israel, and the Otzma Yehudit party." He stated that Fogel dedicated his life to the country's security, acting with a "deep sense of mission, courage, and faith in the path."

During his tenure as chairman of the Knesset's National Security Committee, Ben-Gvir noted, Fogel led initiatives to strengthen security, governance, security forces, and "vigilante squads," and was a leading figure in legislative efforts.

"I thank him from the bottom of my heart for our shared journey, for our friendship, for his dedication, loyalty, and his great contribution to Otzma Yehudit and the people of Israel," Ben-Gvir added, wishing Fogel success in his future endeavors. The statement did not specify the reason for Fogel's decision not to seek reelection with the party.
