Jaafar Farah was discharged from the hospital on Sunday afternoon and returned home, following a health setback over the past two days. His situation comes amid ongoing attention to his stance on the crisis surrounding his candidacy for the second position on the Democratic Front for Peace and Equality (Hadash) list. In a brief message after his release, Farah stated, "I am leaving the hospital now on my way home," expressing gratitude to those who reached out and apologizing for his inability to respond recently.

Farah reportedly informed the Hadash leadership that he does not intend to withdraw his candidacy and is committed to running in the upcoming elections for the second seat, which he asserts was constitutionally elected by the party's council. This comes amidst continuing tension within Hadash regarding the electoral list's order. The party had previously announced that Farah had decided to withdraw his candidacy, a claim that was met with objections from his supporters.

A number of Farah's supporters gathered, holding his pictures and chanting protests, demanding he remain in the second position.
