Abir Kara Declines Knesset Run After Failed Talks With Bennett

Abir Kara announced Sunday that he will not run in the upcoming Knesset elections, following the collapse of political negotiations with former Prime Minister Naftali Bennett.

Kara stated on social media that after extensive deliberation, he could not find a political framework with the necessary "iron eggs" and determination to implement the significant changes he believes Israel needs. He criticized the current political system, calling for a "total restart" in the economy, government, and society.

Kara specifically advocated for reducing the number of government ministries, lowering taxes and regulations, and enacting broad reforms to address the high cost of living. He expressed disappointment in the political landscape, suggesting it lacks the resolve to steer the country in a new direction.

Despite his decision not to seek a Knesset seat at this time, Kara affirmed that he is not withdrawing from public life. He explained that he is unwilling to enter the Knesset solely for a position, title, or salary, and intends to continue working outside of parliament to build public support for a future return to politics.
