Former Minister Avir Kara in Advanced Talks to Join Naftali Bennett's New Party

Former Knesset member and Deputy Minister Avir Kara is reportedly in advanced negotiations to join the new party being formed by former Prime Prime Minister Naftali Bennett, named "BeChaim" (Together). Kara, who previously served as Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Office under Bennett and was a Member of Knesset for the Yamina party, is exploring a return to the political forefront. In recent months, he has also held discussions with figures from other parties, according to Israel Hayom.

Kara, founder of the "Ani Shulman" (I'm the Boss) movement for the self-employed, has become a prominent advocate for the self-employed and small businesses in Israel, promoting free market reforms and efforts to lower the cost of living. In the 25th Knesset elections, Kara led the "Economic Freedom" party, but it received approximately 0.33% of the vote, failing to cross the electoral threshold.

Bennett has recently revealed some of the prominent figures expected to join his Knesset list, including former Ministry of Finance Director General Keren Turner, former Ministry of Communications Director General Liran Avishar Ben Horin, Yonatan Shilo, Shahar Varon, Michal Negri, and Amir Strogo. Bennett recently stated his support for halting legal proceedings and granting a pardon to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but only on the condition of Netanyahu's complete and final withdrawal from political life.
