Dor Peretz Sends Beitar Jerusalem a Clear Message
Dor Peretz has made Beitar Jerusalem wait for developments in his situation. The black and yellow side has conveyed that financial terms will not be an issue if and when Peretz decides he wants to join, but for now the Jerusalem club remains on hold.
Sport5 learned that the Maccabi Tel Aviv captain sent Beitar a message saying he will make a decision next week. The midfielder clarified that he wants to speak with Maccabi Tel Aviv's newly appointed sporting director, understand the intentions, how he is seen within the team, and what the final financial offer will be. After that conversation, he will announce his decision, whether to continue with Maccabi Tel Aviv or choose Beitar or one of the options abroad.
Meanwhile in Jerusalem, the club is as noted looking to strengthen at striker. Beitar is in talks with Gilad Ktzav, Sean Weissman's agent, but first wants to hear that the striker truly wants to return to Israel, and only then will it offer him a two-year contract. Given the delay on the matter, the club is not taking any chances and continues to look for a foreign striker, another midfielder, and a left back who will compete with Yarden Cohen.
