Beitar Jerusalem is moving ahead with plans for next season after concluding that Dor Peretz, who is in talks with clubs abroad, is likely not coming. The club now sees midfielder Dan Glazer as its preferred option and believes he fits the team’s professional needs better than Peretz.
Glazer, 29, is highly rated by Beitar’s staff, and the club expects him to be available after his contract with Kairat expires in December. Beitar plans to try to bring him in for the next season.
Another midfielder under consideration is Shay Elias, who has left Hapoel Be'er Sheva and decided to move on. Elias offers a different profile from Glazer, but remains on Beitar’s list as a possible Israeli reinforcement for next season.
Beitar has already made three signings this summer, Daniel Vorko and Noam Motza, both completed before the end of last season, and Tomer Yosefi, who has just signed with the club.
