Beitar Jerusalem has begun negotiations with midfielder Dan Glazer as it continues building for next season, with the club now treating him as its main transfer target after the move for Dor Peretz faded from consideration. Glazer, 29, is set to leave Kairat on a free transfer when his contract ends in December, and while financial gaps remain between the sides, the club expects they will eventually be bridged.
The Jerusalem side has already added Daniel Wroko and Noam Motza earlier this year, and brought in Tomer Yosefi and Eugene Ansah in the summer. If Glazer signs and becomes Beitar’s fifth signing of the window, the club may then pursue a foreign striker and definitively release midfielder Ailson Tavares.
Meanwhile, Beitar has increased training intensity ahead of its July training camp. In less than a month, the team is also due to play its so-called “European game,” the quarterfinal of the Toto Cup, against Hapoel Tel Aviv.
There was also positive news on Adi Yona, who is still training only partially. The club hopes he will raise his workload before the training camp so he can be fit for the coming season.
