Lebanon received four individuals held in Israel on Friday, facilitated by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) at Naqoura. This action follows the release of five other detainees on Thursday, with the remaining four transferred on Friday.
The ICRC confirmed its role was purely humanitarian, acting as a neutral mediator between Lebanon and Israel. Lebanese President Joseph Aoun thanked the United States and the ICRC for their efforts, calling for continued steps within the tripartite framework.
