Hapoel Tel Aviv has dismissed its CEO, Oren Hasson, after just over a week in the role. Stav Shaham, who also serves as the club's chairman, has replaced Hasson. The decision to terminate Hasson's employment reportedly stemmed from significant disagreements within the club's management.
Sources close to Hasson claim his dismissal was not a professional decision and was not in the best interest of Hapoel Tel Aviv. They suggest that the club's decision-makers did not prioritize the team's welfare. Hasson reportedly pointed to Gili Ra'anan as taking a more prominent role in managing the team, stepping in for Ofer Yanai.
Hasson was with the team in Sofia as recently as the morning of his dismissal, even sharing a dinner with coach Dimitris Itoudis. He was later summoned to Stav Shaham's office, where he was informed of his termination.
