Hapoel Tel Aviv Appoints Oren Hasson as New CEO Amid Leadership Changes

Hapoel Tel Aviv continues its leadership restructuring with significant changes announced this week. Following the appointment of Stav Shacham as the club's new chairman on Monday, the club revealed that CEO Tzachi Reichenstein, who served for the past three years, has stepped down. Oren Hasson, previously the club's chairman, has been reassigned to the CEO position.

Stav Shacham expressed gratitude to Reichenstein for his dedication over the last two years and wished him success in his future endeavors. Shacham highlighted his long acquaintance with Hasson, describing him as a skilled and experienced sports executive deeply connected to the club. He expressed confidence that Hasson would strengthen the club’s ties with fans and the community.

Hasson thanked the club owners and Shacham for their trust, calling Hapoel Tel Aviv his home and emphasizing his commitment to advancing the club both professionally and administratively. The leadership changes follow a period of tension between Hasson and Reichenstein since Hasson’s appointment as chairman two months ago. Discussions also involved potential candidates like Guy Shalev, chairman of the Basketball Association’s professional committee, but the club ultimately decided on Shacham as chairman and Hasson as CEO.
