Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Club CEO Departs After Just Nine Days
Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Club announced another significant change in its management on Thursday, with CEO Oren Hasson ending his tenure just nine days after his appointment. The club's statement did not provide a reason for Hasson's abrupt departure, only stating, "The club thanks Oren for his work and wishes him great success in his future endeavors."
Following Hasson's exit, the responsibility for managing the club will temporarily fall to Chairman Stav Shaham. Hapoel Tel Aviv indicated that Shaham will oversee club operations during this interim period until a permanent CEO is found.
Hasson's departure follows a series of major shifts within the club's leadership. The ownership structure recently changed, reducing Ofer Yanai's share to 40%. Concurrently, Shaham was appointed chairman, Hasson became CEO, and the previous CEO, Tzachi Reichstein, was dismissed.
These managerial changes occur as Hapoel Tel Aviv also focuses on the team's return to its home arena, Heichal Shlomo. The club is actively working to increase season ticket sales and re-engage its fanbase.
