Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Club Restructures Ownership and Management

Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv basketball club announced a significant change in the ownership structure of Yanai Sport, which holds 81% of Edom Management Basket Ltd. Under the new arrangement, owner Ofer Yanai will reduce his stake to 40%, while partners Gili Re'anen, Miki Malka, and Alan Howard will each increase their shares to 20%. The club explained that this restructuring aims to deepen the partners' involvement in management and decision-making, creating a broader ownership partnership.

Alongside the ownership changes, the club's daily management will be transferred to club chairman Satu Shacham, who will act on behalf of all shareholders and coordinate with them. Strategic decisions will be made collectively. Yanai stated that his role as CEO of Nofar Energy limits his ability to remain involved in daily operations, leading to the appointment of Shacham with a mandate to lead the club forward.

The ownership structure of Edom Management Basket itself remains unchanged, with Yanai Sport holding 81% and the Hapoel Osishkin Tel Aviv association holding the remaining 19%. The shareholders committed to continuing significant investments to ensure the club's financial stability, professional growth, and stronger community ties.

Chairman Shacham emphasized that the new ownership structure provides a broad, strong, and committed foundation for Hapoel Tel Aviv and clearly defines the club's operational approach. His responsibility will be to manage the club on behalf of all shareholders, unite the partners, and ensure decisions are made with a shared vision for the club's benefit.
