Hapoel Tel Aviv Basketball Club Parts Ways With CEO After Nine Days

Hapoel Tel Aviv basketball club announced Thursday that Oren Chason has concluded his tenure as CEO, just nine days after his appointment. The club did not specify the reason for the swift departure. Club Chairman Stav Shaham will manage the team until a permanent CEO is appointed.

"Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv Basketball Club announces that the club's CEO, Oren Chason, has ended his role. The club thanks Oren for his work and wishes him great success in his future endeavors. Until a permanent CEO is appointed, the club will be managed by the club chairman, Stav Shaham," the club stated.

Chason, who previously served as chairman of the Football Association and chairman of the Leagues' Administration, was appointed chairman of Hapoel Tel Aviv in June. After about two months, Shaham replaced him in that role, a move the club said was intended, among other things, to strengthen the connection with fans and the community. The day after that, CEO Tzachi Reichenstein ended his role, and Chason was appointed in his place, but this tenure also ended with unusual speed.
