Gaza Ceasefire Violated by Rocket Fire Targeting IDF Troops
The Israeli military reported that IDF forces operating east of the Gaza Strip's "red line" in the northern Gaza Strip came under fire overnight Friday. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident. The IDF responded by striking the area from which the shots were fired.
A spokesperson for the IDF announced the incident around 2:00 AM Saturday, describing it as a "blatant violation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip." The military stated it views attempts by Gaza terror groups to advance and carry out terror plots against forces operating in the area with severity.
Earlier on Thursday, IDF forces identified a terrorist who crossed the "red line" in northern Gaza and approached them in a manner that posed an immediate threat. The Air Force struck and eliminated the terrorist.
