IDF Forces Targeted by Fire in Northern Gaza, Respond with Strikes
Israeli military forces operating east of the "blue line" in the northern Gaza Strip were targeted by gunfire on Tuesday. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident. In response, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) conducted strikes in the area where the fire originated.
A spokesperson for the IDF described the event as a "blatant violation" of the Gaza Strip ceasefire agreement. The military views attempts by terrorist organizations in Gaza to advance terror tactics against IDF forces operating in the area with severe gravity.
The IDF stated that it is prepared to respond to any attempt to harm its forces and will continue to operate to ensure the security of the State of Israel.
