IDF Forces Target Gaza Militants After Rocket Fire, Conduct West Bank Operation

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that its forces operating east of the Gaza Strip's "green line" came under fire earlier on Tuesday. No Israeli soldiers were injured in the incident, and the IDF responded by striking targets in the area. The military stated that it views attempts by Gaza terror organizations to advance and execute terror plans against IDF forces operating in the region as a severe violation of the Gaza ceasefire agreement.

Separately, the IDF announced the completion of a 48-hour counter-terrorism operation in the city of Nablus and surrounding villages in the West Bank. The operation, conducted by the Samaria Brigade with Shin Bet intelligence, involved sweeping hundreds of locations, interrogating dozens of suspects, and arresting over 10 wanted individuals. During the operation, forces destroyed more than 30 lathes used for manufacturing weapons and confiscated hidden arms, including guns, pistols, and ammunition.

In related international news, U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Auster announced that the European Union has officially joined the U.S. economic campaign against Iran. Auster stated that the U.S. stands with its allies to ensure Iran's regime cannot exploit the global financial system to fund its nuclear ambitions, weapons programs, and terror proxies. He emphasized that the world is sending a clear message to Iran, and the U.S. will not stop until all remaining financial lifelines are severed.
