National Insurance Institute Advances Benefit Payments Ahead of Jewish Holidays

The National Insurance Institute (Bituah Leumi) has announced an advance in the payment schedule for hundreds of thousands of beneficiaries ahead of the upcoming Jewish High Holidays. This decision aims to ease the financial burden of holiday expenses for the public.

Unemployment and income support benefits will be paid on September 8th, instead of their original date of September 14th. This advance is in preparation for Rosh Hashanah.

Further ahead of Sukkot, a wide range of other benefits will also be paid earlier. These include payments for the elderly, survivors, disability, disabled children, special services, mobility, work injury victims, alimony, rehabilitation, long-term care, and prisoners of Zion. These benefits will be disbursed on September 22nd, rather than the scheduled September 28th.

The institute's proactive measure is intended to provide recipients with timely access to their funds during the holiday period.
