TV Host Guy Zohar Reveals Health Battle After Disc Herniation Surgery
Popular Israeli television host Guy Zohar has revealed details about his recent health struggles, including a severe disc herniation that required surgery and a lengthy recovery period. Zohar, known for hosting "Survivor" for nearly two decades and "Big Brother" alongside Liron Viitzman on Channel 13, experienced the injury approximately two months ago.
The demanding work schedule, which includes his hosting duties and a career as an actor and musician promoting Ladino culture, contributed to the injury. His stable public image is further enhanced by his relationship with actress Yael Bar Zohar, with whom he is a prominent social media presence.
Zohar's condition was severe enough to force him to miss episodes of "Big Brother." In a recent interview with "HaYom," nearly three months after the incident, he shared the behind-the-scenes drama leading up to his medical treatment.
"The surgery, first of all, thank God we got through it," Zohar stated in the interview. He credited his wife, Yael Bar Zohar, with crucial support during this difficult time. "As far as I was concerned, I wouldn't have done anything, because I couldn't make a decision and I was afraid to make a decision. And she was there for me and said, 'You're having surgery.'"
