Congolese forward Mavis Tchibota, 30, has signed with Israeli club Hapoel Acre, returning to play in the country where he previously spent significant time.

Tchibota has a long history in Israeli football, having played for numerous clubs including Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth academy, Hapoel Kfar Saba, Bnei Yehuda, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Bnei Sakhnin. He won the State Cup with Bnei Yehuda before moving abroad to Ludogorets in Bulgaria.

From Sakhnin, he moved overseas again to Romanian club FC Argeș.

Hapoel Acre also announced the signings of young player Yacouba Cheick Tidiane Tounganon from Burkina Faso and Ghanaian Frank Ezirozi, who had previously trialed with Hapoel Ramat Gan. Gitai Sofir has also returned to the club, and Majd Dahla, who trialed with Hapoel Petah Tikva, has joined as well. In player movement, Mor Naaman departed Hapoel Acre to sign with Hapoel Kfar Saba.
