Ex-Maccabi Haifa Player Mavis Tchité Signs with Hapoel Acre
Congolese footballer Mavis Tchité, 30, has returned to Israel to play for Hapoel Acre, it was reported Thursday. Tchité has a long history in Israeli football, having previously played for numerous clubs including Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, Bnei Sakhnin, Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth academy, Hapoel Kfar Saba, and Benei Yehuda.
He won the State Cup with Benei Yehuda before moving abroad to Ludogorets in Bulgaria. Tchité later returned to Israel, signing with Maccabi Haifa where he won two league championships. After his stint with Hapoel Tel Aviv, he played for Russian club Akron Tolyatti, then Bnei Sakhnin, and most recently Akran Shpeshi in Romania's second division.
In the Romanian league last season, Tchité made 9 appearances and one cup appearance without scoring or assisting. His previous Israeli clubs include Hapoel Kfar Saba, Benei Yehuda, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Bnei Sakhnin.
