Ex-Maccabi Haifa Star Mavice Tcheu-Tcheu Returns to Israel with Hapoel Acre

Congolese midfielder Mavice Tcheu-Tcheu, 30, has signed with Hapoel Acre, marking his return to Israeli football. Tcheu-Tcheu has a long history in Israel, having played for numerous clubs including Maccabi Tel Aviv's youth academy, Hapoel Kfar Saba, Bnei Yehuda, Maccabi Haifa, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Bnei Sakhnin. He won the State Cup with the latter and later achieved significant success with Maccabi Haifa, winning two league championships. After his time in Israel, he played abroad in Bulgaria with Ludogorets, Russia with Akron Tolyatti, and Romania with Akran Shfshi. In the Romanian second division last season, he made 10 appearances without scoring or assisting.

In addition to Tcheu-Tcheu, Hapoel Acre has also signed young player Yacouba Cheick Tidiane Toure from Burkina Faso and Frank Ezirozy from Ghana, who had previously trialed with Hapoel Ramat Gan. Gitai Sapir also returns to the club, and Majd Dahla, who trialed with Hapoel Petah Tikva, has joined as well. On the departure side, Mor Naaman has left Hapoel Acre to sign with Hapoel Kfar Saba.
