Israel to Launch Annual Flu Vaccination Campaign Next Week
Israel's major health maintenance organizations (HMOs) "Meuhedet," "Maccabi," and "Clalit" have announced the commencement of the 2026/27 flu vaccination campaign, with the first inoculations scheduled to begin next week. Vaccines are expected to arrive in Israel in multiple shipments throughout September and October.
Individuals can check vaccine availability at specific clinics and schedule appointments via the mobile applications and websites of their respective HMOs. "Clalit" indicated that vaccinations will initially be available in central clinics, with plans to expand the program to all its clinics nationwide later. The flu vaccination is recommended for the entire population from six months of age, with particular emphasis on individuals at higher risk of severe illness and complications.
