Omri Casspi's Swish Ventures Raises $250 Million for Third Fund
Former NBA player Omri Casspi has announced the successful closing of his venture capital fund, Swish Ventures, raising $250 million for its third fund. This latest fundraising effort brings the total assets under management for Swish Ventures to approximately $800 million.
The new fund plans to invest in around 12 early-stage companies, with an average investment of $20 million per company. Swish Ventures will either co-lead these investments or participate as a joining investor, focusing on seed and Series A funding rounds. The fund's strategy is supported by an Opportunity Fund, enabling investments from seed to growth stages.
Swish Ventures will concentrate on startups in sectors including cybersecurity, technology infrastructure, physical AI, defense, AI for industry, and technology for governments. Since its inception in early 2025, Swish Ventures has invested in 20 companies, eight of which have achieved unicorn status (valued at over $1 billion). The aggregate value of its portfolio companies exceeds $60 billion.
Notable portfolio companies include Cognition AI, Applied Compute, and EON. Casspi, the sole managing partner, noted that the fund's rapid closing and the support from leading global institutional investors, such as Sequoia Capital, U.S. pension funds, universities, and family offices, reflect confidence in the entrepreneurs they back. He emphasized Swish Ventures' strategy of being deeply involved with a select group of exceptional entrepreneurs worldwide.
