IDF Division Drills Counter-Terror Scenarios Near Syrian Border
Division 210 of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recently concluded a large-scale exercise in the Golan Heights region, near the Syrian border. The drill focused on enhancing operational readiness and ensuring forces are prepared to handle complex, emergent events.
The exercise involved all units within Division 210, as well as forces from neighboring sectors and the Home Front Command. Local authority heads, emergency and rescue services, and other relevant entities also participated.
During the drill, dozens of scenarios were practiced, including the extraction of wounded personnel, managing mass casualty incidents, and medical evacuation. Forces also trained in command, control, and combat management, emphasizing inter-agency cooperation.
The exercise incorporated lessons learned from recent combat operations, particularly from the events of October 7th. Special attention was given to the deployment of rapid response units, fire support, the integration of special forces, and maintaining vigilance across all defensive arrays in the sector.
The IDF stated that such exercises will continue regularly to bolster force readiness and inter-agency collaboration in the Golan Heights area.
