IDF Division Drills on Syrian Border Incorporating October 7 Lessons
Division 210 of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has concluded a large-scale divisional exercise in the Golan Heights and along the Syrian border. The drill aimed to enhance operational readiness and maintain the forces' proficiency in handling complex, emergent events.
All units within Division 210 participated, alongside forces from neighboring sectors and the Home Front Command. The exercise also involved cooperation with local authority heads and emergency and rescue organizations in the region.
Participants practiced dozens of scenarios, including casualty evacuation, responding to mass casualty incidents, medical evacuation, and command and control during combat. The drill emphasized inter-organizational cooperation and the integration of combat lessons from all fronts, with a specific focus on the events of October 7. Key areas of focus included the deployment of reserve forces, fire support, special forces operations, and overall IDF system alertness.
The IDF stated that it will continue to conduct regular exercises to strengthen forces' readiness and ensure the security of Golan Heights residents and all Israeli citizens.
