Senior Reporter Neria Kraus Departs Channel 13 After Decade

Neria Kraus, who served as Channel 13's correspondent in the United States for the past three and a half years, is leaving the network after nearly a decade. The departure was announced by Channel 13 on Wednesday. Suleiman Maswadeh, who recently joined the company, is expected to replace Kraus as the channel's correspondent in the U.S.

Kraus joined Channel 13 in 2017, when the company operated under the name "Hadashot 10." She initially worked as a reporter for the consumer program "Hakol Yalul" and later became the culture editor until early 2023. She then transitioned to her role as the channel's U.S. correspondent.

Following the news of Maswadeh's appointment to her former position, Kraus received support from her colleagues. In the reporters' WhatsApp group, warm messages were shared by journalists including Chen Zander, Hila Elroi, and Baruch Kra. Reporter Barak Ravid sharply criticized the decision, calling it "a foolish decision. Owners come and go, but the failed management remains."
