Ex-Chelsea and Juventus Star Cuadrado Rejects $3 Million Israeli Club Offer

Colombian journalist Alexis Rodriguez reported that former Chelsea and Juventus player Juan Cuadrado received a substantial offer of $3 million from an Israeli club but ultimately rejected it. The 38-year-old winger, who is currently a free agent after his stint with Pisa in Italy, also reportedly turned down lucrative offers from clubs in Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Cuadrado, who previously played for top European clubs including Inter Milan, is reportedly aiming to continue his career in North America, with Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States or the Mexican league being his preferred destinations. He is not in a hurry to make a decision and has ruled out a return to his native Colombia for now.

Despite rejecting the Israeli offer, Cuadrado has a notable connection to Israel. He visited the country in November 2022 during the World Cup break, outside of any sporting context. During his trip, he shared emotional posts on social media, praising the country's atmosphere and history, describing Israel as a "miracle in the desert" and proof of thriving in complex conditions, reflecting his deep Christian faith.
