Comedian Assi Cohen and Mentalist Lior Suchard Invest in AI Cybersecurity Firm Huskeys

Israeli cybersecurity startup Huskeys announced on Wednesday it has raised approximately $27 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total funding to around $35 million since its inception in 2025. The investment was led by the prominent American private equity firm Blackstone, with participation from various venture capital funds, corporate investment arms, and individual investors. Among the notable private investors are Israeli actor and comedian Assi Cohen and mentalist Lior Suchard, who also serves as an advisor to the company.

This marks a significant investment for Cohen and Suchard in the cybersecurity sector. Cohen was previously reported to be an investor in the cyber company Aryon, while Suchard has been active in Israeli tech for about a decade, co-founding the startup incubator ToDay in 2016 and joining the US-Israeli cyber investment fund Merlin Ventures in January 2025. Merlin Ventures was also a participant in the Huskeys funding round.

Huskeys specializes in network security, focusing on solutions for managing and securing "Agentic Traffic," which is network traffic generated and managed autonomously by artificial intelligence agents. The company anticipates that AI agent traffic will constitute approximately 70% of all network traffic by 2027, surpassing human-generated traffic. Huskeys aims to address the challenges posed by AI in cybersecurity, where incorrect blocking of legitimate traffic can harm user experience and revenue, while failing to block malicious traffic leaves organizations vulnerable. The company's "Virtual Patching" capabilities are designed to block the exploitation of endpoint vulnerabilities within minutes, pending code fixes.

The company was founded by graduates of the elite IDF Unit 8200, Itai Gafni, who serves as CEO, and Roi Weisfeld, the Chief Technology Officer. Huskeys has expanded its business operations, acquired new clients, and deepened its presence in international markets since its public unveiling. Its clients include Blackstone, TikTok, Legoland, Ro, and Hugging Face.

Itai Gafni stated that Huskeys' vision is to build a new network security category for the AI era, addressing the new security risks and potential revenue losses organizations face. Adam Fletcher, CISO of Blackstone, commented that Huskeys has developed a platform designed to operate across all organizational networks, positioning the company to redefine network security management in the modern internet era.
