Air Raid Sirens Sound in Northern Israel After Suspected Drone Interception

Air raid sirens sounded early Tuesday morning in several communities along Israel's northern border with Lebanon following the detection of a suspected aerial target entering Israeli airspace from Lebanon. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stated that its air defense systems launched interceptor missiles toward the "suspicious aerial object." The military spokesperson clarified that the simultaneous activation of rocket and mortar warning systems was a result of the interception attempts themselves. No injuries were reported, and the incident was declared over.

Meanwhile, sources in southern Lebanon reported that the region was subjected to Israeli airstrikes overnight, targeting, among other locations, the area of Ali Al-Tahir hill. Diplomatic sources, as reported by Lebanese channel Al-Jadeed, indicated that ongoing negotiations between Israel and Lebanon regarding the handover of a Hezbollah facility on Ali Al-Tahir hill to the Lebanese army have not yet resulted in a final agreement, despite what sources described as serious discussions and ongoing communications with Hezbollah.
