Israel Air Defenses Intercept Suspected Drone From Lebanon

Air raid sirens sounded in the "Finger of the Galilee" region, specifically in the communities of Gosh HaGoshrim, Ma'ayan Baruch, and Kfar Yuval, overnight between Tuesday and Wednesday. The alerts were triggered by the suspected infiltration of an enemy aircraft from Lebanese territory into Israeli airspace. This marks the first time in approximately two months that such alarms have been activated in the area, signaling a significant escalation.

According to the IDF Spokesperson's Unit, air defense forces launched interceptors toward the suspected aerial target. The results of the interception are currently under review, and fortunately, no casualties were reported. The IDF clarified that the rocket and missile alerts were activated as a consequence of the interception attempts against the suspicious aircraft.

Concurrently with the incident in northern Israel, Lebanese media reported Israeli airstrikes in the area of Ali al-Tahir in southern Lebanon. These strikes are understood to be a response to Hezbollah's activities in the region. The IDF stated that it will not permit Hezbollah to harm Israeli civilians or forces and will continue to operate to neutralize threats.

In recent days, the IDF has also targeted Hezbollah infrastructure in the Nabatieh area. This action was reportedly in retaliation for an attempted terror operation against IDF forces operating in the security zone. The IDF reiterated its commitment to preventing attacks and maintaining security.
