Israel's Foreign Ministry Reports No Israeli Casualties in Sinai Bus Crash
The Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs has stated that it has no information at this time regarding any Israeli casualties in a "horrific accident" that occurred Wednesday morning in Egypt's South Sinai governorate. A source from the ministry told Panet and Channel Hella that the ministry is monitoring incoming information about the incident.
Earlier, Egypt's Ministry of Health announced that 16 people were killed and others were injured when a bus overturned in South Sinai. The ministry stated that Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar is following the health implications of the bus crash, which took place on the Dahab-Nuweiba road.
According to the Egyptian Health Ministry's spokesperson, 20 ambulances were dispatched to the scene to evacuate the injured and provide initial medical treatment. The spokesperson confirmed that 16 individuals died and 28 others were injured and transported for medical care.
