Bus Overturns in Sinai, Killing 16 and Injuring 28
Sixteen people were killed and 28 others injured when a bus overturned on the Dahab-Nuwaiba road in southern Sinai, Egypt, the Egyptian Ministry of Health reported Wednesday morning. The accident occurred on a stretch of road known for its challenging conditions.
This incident follows a similar tragedy last month in Egypt's Ismailia Governorate, where a road accident claimed the lives of 15 people and left 32 injured. These recurring road accidents highlight ongoing safety concerns on Egyptian highways.
In March, an Israeli citizen, a Breslov Hasid en route to Uman, Ukraine, was killed in a road accident near Taba, in southern Sinai. Two other Israeli citizens were injured in that incident, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Another Israeli, Noa Mor from Tel Aviv, previously died in a kite-surfing accident in Sinai.
