Saeed Abu Froukh Joins Maccabi Tel Aviv's Most Expensive Sales List

Maccabi Tel Aviv has seen another significant player sale this summer with the transfer of forward Saeed Abu Froukh to the Colorado Rapids for $6 million, equivalent to just over 5.2 million euros. This move places Abu Froukh among the club's most valuable outgoing transfers in its history.

According to Transfermarkt, Abu Froukh's transfer fee ranks him as the fifth most expensive sale for Maccabi Tel Aviv. He follows Wesley Fataï to AZ Alkmaar (7.3 million euros), Eran Zahavi to Guangzhou (7.23 million euros), Oscar Gloukh to Salzburg (7 million euros), and precedes Milson to Red Star Belgrade (5 million euros), Daniel Peretz to Bayern Munich (5 million euros), and Predrag Rajković to Reims (5 million euros).

In a broader context of Israeli Premier League sales to foreign clubs, Abu Froukh's transfer is also highly ranked. It places him sixth on the list, behind Wesley Fataï (8 million euros), Eran Zahavi (7.23 million euros), Oscar Gloukh (7 million euros), Manor Solomon to Shakhtar Donetsk (6.5 million euros), and Anan Khalaili to Union SG (6.5 million euros). Other notable sales include Predrag Rajković, Milson, and Daniel Peretz, all from Maccabi Tel Aviv, and Igbini Yacubu from Maccabi Haifa.
